Our take

Aholic names it Blowing Away, but the scent does not drift. It lands on skin like a heavy wool coat dropped onto a wooden chair in a cold room. Rum and tobacco open together, dark and slightly sticky, followed fast by frankincense that smells like resin still warm from the censer. Davana adds a dry, herbal lift that keeps the first minutes from turning flat. It is not a bright entrance. It is a closed room, amber light, and the first drink of the night.

The middle softens the edges without losing the weight. Leather leans waxy rather than suede-like, wrapped around orris and sandalwood that give a pale, powdered glow. Jasmine is present only as a faint, indolic breath, never a floral note on its own. Incense knots the heart to the top, so the smoke never really clears. When the base arrives, oud and sugar meet head-on. The oud is rubbery and animalic, the sugar dry and cracked, and vanilla smooths the join without hiding the grit. Musk sits low underneath, catching the heat of skin and holding the darker notes close.

This is not a scent for the office or for warm afternoons spent outside. It belongs on cold nights, preferably late, when the air is sharp and the street is quiet. Wear it to a dinner where the table is candlelit and the wine is red. It fits someone who likes perfume to feel like a second skin, heavy and slightly unruly, and who does not mind a little smoke on their coat when they finally walk home.
