Our take

Existence opens with a burst of aldehydes that feel like cold, soapy water hitting a hot marble countertop, sharp and aggressively clean. The lily of the valley and rose come through not as dewy petals but as stiff, polished floral notes, so starched and bright they almost squeak. Then the frankincense and labdanum creep in, and the whole thing softens into a resinous, slightly smoky haze, but that initial soapiness never fully washes off. It lingers into the drydown alongside white musk and benzoin, turning powdery and soft, like the skin of someone who has just stepped out of a steam room wearing a single strand of amber beads.

This is not a fragrance that whispers. It announces itself with a three and a half star sillage, which feels about right noticeable but not suffocating, and the longevity is solid at four hours. The problem is that the fresh, aldehydic top and the warm spicy base never quite reconcile, leaving a disjointed middle where the Mystikal note adds an abstract, synthetic sheen that feels more like a lab experiment than a natural accord. It suits the woman who wants to smell expensively clean, like a white shirt pressed to perfection. Skip it if you crave complexity or anything resembling warmth. Best worn on a crisp spring morning to a business brunch, but on a summer night it fades into a soapy ghost.
