Our take

Meek Passion by M.INT opens with a slap of overripe banana and crisp apple—a fruity gambit that almost veers into grocery-store candle territory before the bergamot and lemon cut through with a sharp, waxy brightness. The heart is where this fragrance either wins you over or loses you completely: cloves and cinnamon wrestle with a syrupy pineapple, all dusted in powdery notes that land somewhere between a vintage lipstick compact and a holiday potpourri bowl. It’s a lot, and the blend never fully reconciles its tropical-sweet, warm-spicy, and powdery-earthy impulses. The base of vetiver, patchouli, and cashmere wood eventually pulls things toward the ground, but the vanilla here is more marshmallow than amber, softening the fall rather than anchoring it.

The overall character is a bustling market stall in late October—cinnamon sticks, bruised apples, and a forgotten bunch of bananas sweating under a cloth—lit by the synthetic glow of a neon sign. It feels consciously niche in ambition but mainstream in execution, with a density that demands attention yet delivers only moderate longevity (3.66) and modest sillage (3.36). This is for the wearer who loves aggressive gourmands and can tolerate a bit of powder landing on their fruit basket. Skip it if you prefer clean, linear scents or if banana as a top note makes you flinch; the opening is a risk. Best worn on a cool spring evening or a crisp winter afternoon—preferably when you’re indoors and happy to be the loudest thing in the room.
