Our take

Megamare smells like walking toward open water, marine and aquatic rather than beachy or sweet. Bergamot and lemon barely register before seaweed, calone and hedione take over, green and slightly ozonic, more mineral than floral or fruity. Hedione gives the whole middle a slightly radiant, wet quality that the marine accord alone wouldn't have.

Musk, ambroxan and cedar hold the base, and staying power is where Megamare really separates itself: it's hard to shift once it's applied, and the sillage fills the space around the wearer, nothing polite about it. Ambroxan in particular pushes the drydown into something warm and slightly musky underneath the marine chill.

It's built for summer and warm water, not for a quiet office, and anyone sensitive to synthetic, ozonic accords should test it before committing, since Megamare leans hard into that register from the top note down. There isn't much softness anywhere in the structure, and that's clearly deliberate, not an oversight. Fans of aquatic fragrances that stay thin will find this one considerably more forceful than they expect, since the musk and ambroxan give it real body underneath all that green, watery brightness.
