Within minutes, that freshness recedes and a nutmeg-spiced musk takes over, warm but not cloying, before the base settles into a cozy blanket of vanilla, patchouli, and vetiver. The effect is like stepping into a leather-armed study after a cold rain, the floorboards still carrying a trace of last night’s incense.
This is an Oriental Woody that feels more mainstream than niche, but it’s not cheap or screechy. The sweetness is balanced by earthy patchouli and a faint powdery softness that keeps it from being too heavy. Unfortunately, the performance numbers tell the truth: longevity hovers near three hours, and sillage barely reaches arm’s length.
