Parfum de Sieste
Fragrance notes
Parfum de Sieste opens with a bright, slightly bitter grapefruit that sits beside cool lavender and a dusty angelica root. Incense enters early, giving the citrus a faintly smoky edge before the top notes drift apart. The start feels airy and dry rather than juicy, with the aromatics keeping the mood crisp.
The heart introduces mastic and bergamot, which add a resinous green tone to the developing labdanum. Cardamom brings a gentle warmth that weaves through the mastic without turning heavy. Here the aromatic accord stays prominent, while the citrus steps back and lets the spices and resins shape the character.
In the base, incense returns alongside myrrh and Spanish labdanum, creating a deep amber resin that feels smooth and slightly powdery. Atlas cedar adds a dry woodiness that prevents the balsamic notes from becoming too soft. The musky accord lingers underneath, rounding out the warm spicy and woody facets until the fragrance settles fully into its amber core.
