He wears a light jacket over a linen shirt, and the scent rising from his collar feels bright and immediate. Lemon and grapefruit burst forward with a sharp clarity, softened just enough by bergamot to keep the edge from feeling harsh. It is a clean, vivid opening that matches the wet stones underfoot and the pale sunlight breaking through the clouds.
The walk continues past a row of trimmed hedges where geranium grows in neat clusters. Its green, slightly peppery leafiness weaves through the citrus, pulling the fragrance toward something drier and more structured. Vetiver enters with an earthy, root-like depth, while cedar adds a smooth, dry woodiness that grounds the brighter notes above. Patchouli lingers underneath, dark and slightly dusty, giving the blend a masculine weight that keeps it from floating away entirely.
The path opens into a small courtyard where the air smells of damp earth and crushed leaves, and the fragrance settles into its woody, aromatic core. It feels natural here, surrounded by growing things and changing light, the kind of scent that belongs to a morning or afternoon spent moving through the world rather than sitting still.
