Our take

Nutmeg and citrus hit first, a sharp, almost savory fizz that promises something wilder than the usual drugstore splash. But the lemon and grapefruit peel back quickly, and what emerges is a gorgeously synthetic blueberry note, jammy and candied, draped over cinnamon and a faint whisper of dark chocolate. Play It Wild for Him is not a refined gourmand; it is a carnival funnel cake dropped onto a leather jacket. The heart pivots from fruity to boozy sweet, with pineapple adding a tropical fizz before the base takes over: tonka bean and amber form a sticky, vanillic backbone, while the leather note is more vinyl than saddle, plastic and smooth. This is unapologetically loud, campy even, and the longevity and sillage numbers confirm it barely survives a commute, which might be a mercy. It suits the guy who wears Axe but wants a step up, who thinks a night out means pounding energy drinks at a club until 2 a.m. It is overwhelmingly sweet and warm, best for spring nights or fall evenings when a little artificial heat feels right. Skip it if you want subtlety, naturalism, or anything that doesn’t smell like a scented eraser from 2005. Who designed this for actual human skin in 2015? Juliette Karagueuzoglou, and she knew exactly what she was doing.
