Saffron Ambre opens with a sharp, edible bitterness. The almond here is not a dessert note. It is dry and almost medicinal, cut immediately by the metallic heat of saffron threads rubbed between the fingers. There is no slow introduction. The scent arrives fully formed, heavy with resin and heat.
Cedar provides a sturdy, dry backbone that prevents the amber from becoming a sticky syrup. Jasmine floats through the heavier woods, adding a cool, white petal contrast that feels accidental rather than planned. The fir resin adds a dark, forest-floor weight that pulls the floral elements down into the earth.
The base is a dense cloud of amberwood and ambergris. It creates a texture that feels thick and slightly animalic, hovering in the air like woodsmoke trapped in a heavy wool coat. The musk is present but secondary, acting as a soft landing for the sharper resinous edges rather than a clean laundry finish.
