Our take

Carrot seeds sit oddly next to cinnamon, but that is Santal Blush's opening move, a peppery, earthy jolt before ylang-ylang and rose round it into something softer. Sandalwood carries the rest of the composition, thick and faintly sweet, propped up by oud and benzoin so the base leans warm instead of resinous and sharp. Fenugreek keeps surfacing at the edges, lending the whole opening a faint bread-like warmth alongside the spice.

This settles in and stays, the sort of hold you do not have to think about twice. Sillage forms a small, warm halo, the sort whoever is standing next to you would notice. That suits a desk job or a quiet dinner, occasions where a small presence works in your favor.

Fall is where this comes alive, sandalwood and spice settling into a cold-season comfort, with winter close behind and only a soft presence in spring. Reach for something brighter if a hot afternoon calls for cheer, since Santal Blush works better as a low, resinous hum than a blast of citrus. On skin it reads reserved and warm, more interested in being noticed slowly than announced.
