Sensual Velvet
Fragrance notes
Character
Sensual Velvet opens with black currant and bergamot, joined by apple and Brazilian rosewood. The fruit is present from the first spray, bright and slightly tart, while the wood adds a dry edge that keeps the opening from leaning fully into sugar. As the top notes step back, the heart introduces iris and heliotrope alongside milk and jasmine. The milk softens the florals and gives the middle a smooth, slightly creamy texture that sits near the skin and does not push outward.
The base carries amber, musk, vanilla, sugar, patchouli, and the house’s own accord. Vanilla and sugar make the drydown sweet, but the amber and patchouli add weight and a faint animalic touch that keeps the blend from feeling light or airy. The powder from the iris continues into the base and meets the musk, so the later hours stay close and personal rather than expanding through the air.
This is a fragrance for cool evenings when the air is crisp and the light has faded, where a soft, powdery sweetness feels appropriate against heavier clothing and quiet streets. The notes stay near the body and fade at a steady, unremarkable pace, leaving a gentle trace of vanilla and amber that lingers on the wrist
