Shali
Fragrance notes
Character
Shali opens with a bright citrus blend of bergamot and orange. Opoponax adds a resinous, slightly incense-like edge to the initial spray. The top notes feel warm and aromatic rather than sharp or cooling.
The heart introduces iris and jasmine. The iris brings a powdery, root-like texture that grounds the white floral jasmine. Together they create a soft floral layer that sits between the resinous opening and the heavy base.
Vetiver and patchouli form a woody, earthy foundation. Labdanum and tonka bean add amber, balsamic, and sweet accents. The overall accord is warm, spicy, and noticeably sweet, with a heavy resinous character throughout the drydown.
The composition is dense and rich. It suits cooler weather and evening wear. The heavy sweetness and earthy patchouli may feel too thick for those who prefer light, airy citrus or clean floral scents without a strong amber base.
