Our take

TY opens with a sharp edge that can feel abrasive. The rhubarb and saffron hit hard, and the leather in the top notes adds a rough texture that some will find aggressively dry. It is not a smooth, easy entrance into a scent.

That initial bite gives way to a heart of red berries and black pepper. The fruit here is dark and tart, supported by jasmine and geranium rather than brightened by them. Patchouli grounds the middle, creating a dense, aromatic cloud that feels heavy on the skin.

This is a fragrance for a dimly lit room where the air is cool and the mood is intimate. The amber, vanilla, and raspberry in the base provide a sweet, animalic warmth that pairs with oud and sandalwood. It creates a trail that feels expensive and slightly untamed, like a heavy wool coat worn to a late dinner.

The saffron and leather combination can become cloying if the air is not cold enough to cut the sweetness. It demands a specific palate and a willingness to wear something that announces itself with a harsh, spicy growl before it ever settles down.
