Venus Rose
Fragrance notes
Character
A quiet garden path in late afternoon holds the air around Venus Rose. Mandarin orange and pineapple sit beside bergamot, their bright citrus touched by peach and the soft yellow of mimosa. Geranium and palmarosa add a green, slightly herbal edge, while cypress and sage keep the surroundings cool. Cloves bring a gentle heat that moves through the aromatic blend, and the scent feels alive in the open air, changing slightly as the breeze shifts through the plants.
The deeper character rests on damask rose, which carries the fragrance with a rich, floral weight. Linaloe berry, cedar, and amyris give a smooth woodiness that supports the petals, while patchouli and labdanum add earth and a resinous depth. Amber warms the entire composition, letting the rose feel full rather than sharp. The mix of warm spicy and green accords creates a rounded texture, where the flower never stands alone but always has a woody, slightly resinous companion nearby.
Fabio Meloni composed a floral that stays close to its rose center, yet the list of notes is so long that some voices get lost. Pineapple and bergamot barely register once the rose and amber take hold, and the sage and cypress feel more like ideas than clear shapes. The result is beautiful but crowded, with certain ingredients fading into the background instead of finding their own space.
