Lemon and bergamot open Man Eau Fraiche sharp and citric, closer to a splash of soda water than a bottle of cologne, and that fizzy quality never really leaves. Cedar and tarragon show up in the middle, giving it a green, herbal snap instead of the usual soft musk landing, and star fruit keeps the whole opening feeling wet and juicy, never dry.
Musk does eventually settle everything down, but this stays a bright, uncomplicated scent from start to finish. It holds on without much fuss, settling into an easy middle ground, not fading fast and not clinging hard either, and the sillage stays a private thing, close to the skin, more a personal refresh than a fragrance meant to be noticed by anyone else in the room.
Given how hard the day score leans over night, this comes across as strictly daytime, warm-weather wear, backed up by a spring and summer pull that leaves the rest of the year uncovered. Office desks, gym bags and beach towels all suit it fine. Anyone hoping for depth or complexity should look at Olivier Cresp's other work instead, since it keeps things simple on purpose and never pretends otherwise.
