Meu Olhar
Fragrance notes
Character
Walking past a street market stall piled with baskets of fresh berries under a bright noon sun captures the mood of Meu Olhar. The opening brings strawberry forward with a crisp pepper accent that keeps the fruit from feeling heavy. Violet sits beside it, adding a cool, powdery edge that feels clean rather than sugary.
The heart leans into a white floral mix of gardenia, jasmine, daisy and honeysuckle, with violet returning to tie the layers together. Honeysuckle adds a soft nectar quality, while the gardenia and jasmine give the blend a creamy, slightly soapy brightness. It smells like a well-kept city garden after rain.
Base notes of cedar, tonka bean, vanilla and musk ground the flowers without dimming the sparkle. The vanilla and tonka bean add a gentle sweetness, while cedar keeps the finish dry and the musk lends a soft, skin-like warmth. The overall impression stays sweet, powdery and floral in equal measure.
Rogério Rubini composed a fragrance that feels approachable and familiar, though the floral accord leans heavily on a synthetic side that some will find flat. It suits someone who enjoys a bright, fruity floral for daytime wear, but those who prefer complex, natural-smelling compositions may find it too simple for their taste.
