Star anise opens the door with a sharp, cool bite that cuts through the first minutes. Lavender follows, soft and clean, pulling the spice toward something calmer. Citrus brightens the edges without taking over, and pepper adds a dry snap that keeps the entrance from feeling too smooth.
Tobacco sits heavy in the middle, wrapped around vanilla that feels warm and rounded. Wormwood brings a faint bitter thread that stops the sweetness from becoming flat. Palmarosa adds a green, slightly rosy lift that moves the center away from pure dessert. Leather waits in the base, dark and firm, while cypress and Virginia cedar lay down a dry, forest floor foundation. Cassia and elemi shimmer quietly underneath, giving the wood a resinous glow.
The air smells of old leather chairs in a room lit only by a low fire, where smoke from a pipe curls near the ceiling and the windows are fogged against the cold outside.
