Le Jaune N°1235
Fragrance notes
Character
Rhubarb and tangerine make a bright, tart opening that feels like a sunlit kitchen windowsill. The citrus is sharp rather than juicy, with neroli adding a clean, slightly soapy edge. Bergamot ties the top notes together without dominating the mix.
Jasmine sits high in the heart, airy and slightly indolic, while orris brings a powdery root texture that grounds the white floral lift. Tobacco in the middle is dry and faintly sweet, more like crushed leaves than a heavy smoke.
Haitian vetiver in the base is earthy and green, giving the drydown a slightly rough texture that keeps the sweetness of tonka bean in check. Ambrette adds a soft, musky warmth that lingers close to the skin without becoming heavy or cloying.
This is a fragrance for a bright morning walk through a city market, where the air smells of fresh fruit and dry dust. The composition feels modern and slightly architectural, balancing crisp greens against soft florals in a way that stays vivid under clear, open skies.
