Noir Lovely Devil
Fragrance notes
Character
Bergamot arrives bright and sharp, cutting through the haze of burning incense that defines the opening. Saffron threads its way through that smoke, adding a golden, slightly leathery heat. The jasmine in the heart is not a fresh bouquet. It is heavy and indolic, blending with the pungent bite of cloves to create a floral presence that feels dried and preserved rather than alive.
The foundation rests on labdanum, a resinous amber that feels thick and sticky against the skin. Two types of vetiver anchor the base, one from Haiti and one from Java, offering a grassy earthiness that grounds the sweeter elements. Virginia cedar adds a dry, pencil-shaving crispness to the mix. The overall impression is balsamic and woody, a scent that clings to fabric and hair like the smell of a bonfire lingering on a wool coat.
Picture standing on a stone patio where the air is cold and the sky is dark, the only warmth coming from a nearby fire pit where cedar logs release their sap into the flames.
