Fragrance notes
Character
Bergamot and lemon introduce the composition with a bright, slightly bitter citrus that cuts through still air. Chamomile brings a soft, hay-like calm to the heart, sitting gently beside the cool snap of juniper berry. Jasmine adds a thin floral veil that does not overwhelm the green thread running through the blend.
Cedar and vetiver form a dry, woody base that feels closer to garden earth than polished lumber. Sandalwood smooths the edges without turning the mix sweet. The aromatic accord keeps the scent upright and structured, more herbal than gourmand in every phase.
Clément Marx composed this woody aromatic for Beautycounter in 2024 as a release for women and men. It carries a masculine lean while leaving room for anyone who enjoys green, herbal textures over heavy sweetness. The materials feel clean and deliberate, avoiding the synthetic sharpness that often tags along with fresh spicy blends.
A courtyard table under string lights, a glass of gin in hand, the night air cool enough to make the herbs feel crisp and the woods feel grounding.
