Fragrance notes
Character
The first spray delivers a sharp bite of black pepper that cuts straight through bright bergamot. Geranium adds a green, slightly dusty edge to that opening, so the start feels brisk rather than sweet. Violet leaf and lavender take over quickly, softening the spice into something cool and airy. The lavender here leans clean and soap-like, giving the scent a groomed, morning-ready feel that sits comfortably against a crisp shirt and a busy schedule.
Cedar and amber form a steady foundation beneath the herbs, while leather arrives quietly in the background. It is a smooth, tamed leather that never dominates, acting more like a faint trace of a jacket than a heavy hide. The scent stays near the skin in a way that feels personal rather than withdrawn, and it maintains a steady presence through a morning without demanding attention or filling an elevator.
Fabienne Coupaye composed a fragrance that smells neat and approachable, yet the leather note lacks real texture. It reads as a synthetic impression rather than a lived-in material, and that choice keeps the whole composition from developing genuine depth. The amber also stays thin, offering warmth without richness, so the drydown feels a bit flat once the herbs fade.
