Character
Nutmeg and pepper open Christopher with a brisk, dry sting. The spice feels textured rather than hot, more like walking past a kitchen where someone is grating fresh nutmeg than like a jar of ground powder.
Lavender arrives next and softens the edges. It is herbal and slightly powdery, sitting close to the artemisia that adds a green, slightly bitter lift. Together they keep the heart from becoming too smooth.
Tobacco and leather form the backbone of the base. The tobacco carries a sweet, cured warmth, while the leather is dry and faintly dusty. Sandalwood and guaiac wood round it out with a creamy, resinous woodiness that feels grounded.
Christopher works best on cool days when the air is crisp. It fits someone who enjoys spice and tobacco but wants the lavender to keep the blend from feeling heavy or overly dark.
