Ysatis was built in an era when a floral was expected to announce itself the moment you walked in, and it still carries that habit. Aldehydes open it with a bright, powdery fizz, sharper than most aldehyde openings get, the kind of top note that either hooks you in the first ten seconds or doesn't.
Once that fizz settles, tuberose takes the lead, thick and touched with warm spice underneath, closer to a heavy corsage than a light bouquet. It doesn't stay shy for long; the floral heart soon pushes the opening aside and takes over.
The base turns animalic and mossy, oakmoss giving it a fur-coat weight, dense and a little dirty in the best sense, with a warm, powdery sweetness rounding it all out.
Longevity is long-lasting, the aldehyde-tuberose combination holding its shape without thinning early, and it carries real reach, the kind that makes people notice before you've said hello. Cool, damp air is when the mossy base performs best, giving it room to sit into, and it leans toward evening far more than a daytime errand. This is a formidable, old-school floral, aldehydes and tuberose turned up rather than softened for modern taste.
