Rose d'Hiver
Fragrance notes
Character
A person steps out of a velvet-lined hallway into a cool evening where the air has a bite but no harshness. The setting calls for something that feels dressed without being stiff.
Rosa Alba opens with a pale, cool petal presence that stays close to the skin. Osmanthus adds a soft fruit touch that leans more toward apricot skin than juice. Narcissus brings a rich, slightly animalic weight that pushes the florals into a deeper register. Jasmine sits beside it with a creamy, indolic glow.
Patchouli grounds the heart with an earthy darkness that avoids the sharp edges of the 1970s style. Laotian oud enters with a dry, woody smoke that never overwhelms the flowers. Amber and vanilla provide a warm, resinous bed that feels smooth rather than sugary. Copahu balm adds a balsamic lift that keeps the base from sitting too heavy.
Musk softens every edge and pulls the accords into a single, powdery cloud. The final impression is a musky, amber, and woody floral where the rose and the oud share equal space.
