You open a bottle of Body II and immediately you’re inside a coconut-scented tanning oil commercial from the late 90s, all sticky sweetness and synthetic sunshine. The top notes hit hard with coconut nectar and a sharp, almost candied mandarin, while neroli and bergamot try to add some citrus lift but get quickly bulldozed. Within minutes, the heart reveals itself as a dense, lotiony white floral blend: monoi oil, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and orange blossom all mashed together into a sweet, slightly waxy paste. The dry down is pure coconut milk and musk, soft and vaguely powdery, with ambrette lending a clean, almost laundry-like undertone.
The overall character is a tropical fruit smoothie that someone spilled on a hotel pool lounger. It reads aggressively mainstream, synthetic in a way that feels intentional rather than cheap, and relentlessly sweet. The longevity and sillage numbers tell the honest story: this is a skin scent after an hour, and you’ll be reapplying if you want anyone to notice. That doesn’t mean it’s worthless. It suits someone who wants a straight shot of summer nostalgia, something playful and unsubtle for beach days or brunch with mimosas. Skip it if you prefer nuanced, airy florals or anything that whispers rather than shouts. Wear it when the sun is high and you want to smell like a piña colada on repeat, just know you’ll need to top up.
