Chapter 4
Fragrance notes
Character
A dim lounge hums with conversation as a glass of dark fruit sits untouched on the table. The air carries a ripe black cherry that leans into a sticky caramel, both softened by a resinous frankincense that curls upward like a thin ribbon of smoke. This is not a bright opening but a warm, amber-heavy haze that settles around the shoulders without reaching the far side of the room.
Leather emerges from the background, smooth and slightly animalic, wrapped in the golden weight of Peru balsam. The woods stay low, with sandalwood and cedar giving the blend a dry foundation that keeps the sugar from feeling excessive. It stays present for a sensible span, resting close enough that only those nearby catch the shift as the resin deepens and the fruit slowly fades.
Davana adds a slightly herbal twist to the cherry, preventing the sweetness from becoming one-dimensional as the balsam continues to glow against the leather. The air feels thick, inviting, and entirely suited to a night spent in one comfortable place with good company and a single, lingering scent.
