DEV #2: The Main Act
Fragrance notes
Character
DEV #2: The Main Act opens with a brazen slap of clove and cinnamon, both spice merchants pushing their wares into a smoky incense haze. The cardamom and juniper cut through briefly, herbal and cool, before the labdanum and tolu balsam wrap everything in a dark amber syrup. Within minutes, the animalics stir. Castoreum and civet emerge like something alive under a leather saddle, and the agarwood smolders, bitter and medicinal, while immortelle adds a syrupy hay-like sweetness that keeps the composition from turning feral. The rose is nearly invisible, a bruised whisper that surfaces only in the deep drydown alongside powdery musk.
This is a scent that sits like a worn leather-bound grimoire left open on an altar in a winter chapel: stained, smoky, sacred, and slightly unlawful. It is unapologetically heavy and natural, no synthetic smooth edges, and the sillage stays close (a measured 3.51) while longevity easily stretches past eight hours. It suits anyone who prefers their warmth with grit, who wants incense that smells like midnight ritual rather than Sunday service. Skip it if you reach for fresh citrus or airy aquatics. This is strictly for cold fall nights and deepest winter, best worn to a dimly lit bar, a solitary walk in snowfall, or a dinner where conversation runs slow and serious. Could you wear it to a holiday party? Only if you want to clear the room of people who don’t understand you.
