Our take

Dryad asks for patience at the start. Galbanum, tarragon, clary sage, thyme, and bitter orange arrive with a sharp green edge that can feel stern on the first spray. The opening has the brisk bite of crushed herb stems between the fingers, vivid and slightly wild. Give it a little space to settle, and its shape becomes more supple.

Narcissus brings a pale, yellow-floral richness, while orris lends a cool, powdery texture. Costus adds an earthy warmth, and apricot gives the heart a muted fruit glow. The citrus notes remain woven through the blend, keeping the aromatic character clear. As Dryad dries down, oakmoss and vetiver form a dry, wooded floor beneath Peru balsam, benzoin, and styrax. The base feels resinous and mossy, with an ambered softness that gains depth without becoming syrupy.

Dryad is long-lasting, and its presence forms a modest bubble around the wearer. It suits someone who enjoys green, earthy perfume with a serious, old-world contour and a distinctly unisex manner. The composition feels most at home in spring and fall, especially for daytime wear, when its herbs and moss can breathe. Summer also works in lighter application. Those seeking creamy sweetness or a plush night scent may find its austere opening demanding, while lovers of aromatic chypres will appreciate the way it grows more textured with each stage.
