Epic Maze opens with a crowded spice rack. Mace and nutmeg sit beside pink pepper and saffron, and the effect is immediate. Cumin adds a rough edge that keeps the sweetness of the cardamom in check. Myrtle brings a sharp green point to the top, so the blend never settles into a flat powder.
The middle shifts toward resin. Frankincense and myrrh rise through the geranium, giving the air a dry, chapel-like feeling. The resins do not melt into the spices so much as stand beside them. Cedar and sandalwood arrive early from the base, lending a pale wood backdrop to the heavier oud and leather waiting underneath.
Patchouli and musk anchor the bottom, dark and slightly soil-like. Leather adds a stiff, worn texture that pairs with the oud's deep grain. The whole composition feels suited to a quiet street at night, where the air is cool and the lights are low. Spice and resin linger together, each holding its own space
