Eternal Passion
Fragrance notes
Character
Eternal Passion opens with a sharp, golden saffron that immediately meets a tart slice of passionfruit. The fruit is bright and slightly sticky, but the spice keeps it from turning into a simple candy. Dominique Ropion composed a scent that feels heavy in the air, like walking into a room where the heating has been running all day and someone has left a bowl of tropical fruit on a leather chair. It is a thick, resinous blend that smells expensive and a bit overwhelming if you are used to clean citrus or light florals.
The oud here is deep and woody rather than medicinal, and it wraps around a soft rose that refuses to stay in the background. Leather in the base pulls the entire composition toward something rugged. This is not a fresh laundry scent or a breezy garden walk. It feels like a fragrance for a heavy coat and a dimly lit street, the kind of air that makes you pull your collar up. The patchouli adds a dark earthiness that grounds the sweetness of the fruit, making the whole experience feel mature and deliberate.
Wear this when the sky is dark and the air has a bite, or when you want to feel anchored in a crowd. It fits a person who enjoys a scent that announces a serious mood and does not apologize for taking up space. Skip the gym bag and the office desk. Save it for a night out or a formal dinner where the room is cool and the drinks are strong.
