Our take

Intimus opens with a crisp, candied apple, the kind you’d find at a county fair, brightened by bergamot and a citrusy squeeze of lemon and orange. Pink pepper adds a brief sparkle before the heart drifts into a waxy, amber-tinted lily of the valley, softened by geranium’s green fuzz. The dry down is where it gets sticky: spun sugar and vanilla wrap around a woody-musk base, with patchouli and oakmoss trying to ground the sweetness but only partly succeeding.

This is less a perfume and more a lollipop dipped in amber, shiny and pleasant but lacking depth. It feels thoroughly mainstream and moderately synthetic, like a designer flanker that got lost on its way to a mall counter. The numbers back that up: a modest 3.50 for longevity and a whispery 2.90 for sillage mean it stays close to the skin, fading within a few hours. Fall and winter are its true seasons, where the sweetness can huddle against cold air, and it works best at night, enveloping a date in a safe, sugary haze.

Who should reach for it? Anyone who wants a friendly, unisex vanilla gourmand that won’t offend or dominate a room. Who should skip it? Those who crave complexity, daring, or a scent that actually projects. Intimus is a safe choice, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want, but it’s hard to feel intimate with a fragrance that barely whispers your name.
