Our take

The morning sun warms a wooden bench in a quiet garden. A glass vial of Lelde sits uncapped on the slat beside a half-read book. The air carries ylang-ylang and rose, soft and rounded, with bergamot giving a clean lift and lilac adding a cool, slightly soapy petal scent. It feels like a room with the windows open, where fresh air moves through a bouquet left on a table.

Patchouli and vetiver step forward, earthy and dry, while oregano brings a sharp herbal edge that cuts through the flowers. Orris adds a smooth, powdery texture that settles over the green notes, and tonka bean offers a gentle sweetness without turning heavy. The blend smells cultivated and deliberate, like a garden planned down to the last row.

Sandalwood and benzoin create a resinous, golden warmth. Ambergris lends a salty, mineral depth, and oakmoss grounds the scene with a damp, forest floor tone. The accords list citrus, woody, amber, and balsamic elements, and they all sit together in the air above the bench, distinct but never chaotic.

The composition is dense with notes, yet the oregano can feel abrupt against the soft florals, and the powdery orris sometimes veils the brighter citrus too completely. The balance leans heavily on its herbal and resinous weight, leaving little room for the lighter petals to breathe.
