Bitter orange and red currant open Funny! tart and a little sour, with pink pepper adding a small spiced kick right behind. Red currant gives the citrus a tart, almost sour edge, and pink pepper adds a small, prickly warmth right behind it. Green tea moves in early, cool and slightly bitter, and the sillage stays a light, close-worn cloud the whole time. Staying power here settles for a fair middle stretch, present without asking for much attention.
Peony, jasmine and violet fill out the heart with a soft, powdery floral note, easy rather than heavy. Oakmoss is an unexpected presence in something this bright, adding a small mossy shadow to what would otherwise be a straightforwardly sweet floral base. Cedar, musk, oakmoss and amber ground the base, giving the sweetness some weight and ending on something warm and a little woody. Summer is its obvious home, worn on bright days when something citrus and playful feels right. The green tea is the note that keeps it interesting, a small bitter edge running quietly through an otherwise sunny, fruity-floral composition.
