Our take

Bergamot and pear bring a bright, juicy lift to the blend. Ylang-ylang and jasmine add a soft, yellow floral layer that feels gentle rather than loud. Amber, benzoin, and vanilla create a sweet, resinous core that stays close to the skin in tone. Peru balsam and tolu balsam add a thick, balsamic depth that reads warm and slightly medicinal. Labdanum and ambrette contribute a musky, powdery texture that rounds the sharper edges. Cedar and Indian patchouli ground the mix with dry wood and earth. The overall impression is amber, woody, and balsamic with clear sweet and warm spicy accents.

The scent feels handmade and a bit raw, not polished like a department store release. Vanilla and balsams lead, but the florals and citrus keep it from becoming heavy. It sits somewhere between a natural perfume and a cozy gourmand, with a powdery finish that lingers in the air around the wearer. The notes never clash, yet the composition does not try to be seamless. It is warm, a little messy, and very personal in how the ingredients show themselves one by one.

Liz Zorn composed this as a unisex scent that leans into resin and wood. Wear it on cool days when you want something sweet but not sugary, floral but not fresh. It fits a quiet afternoon, a walk in cold air, or a calm evening at home. Someone who enjoys amber, balsam, and patchouli will feel at home here.
