Our take

Rasvika opens with a brisk camphor bite from borneol that cuts through bright mandarin orange and neroli. Pandanus and Strobilanthes callosus add a green, slightly herbaceous edge to the citrus, so the entrance feels cool and sharp rather than sweet. Bergamot smooths the top without dulling the medicinal lift, and the overall impression is a sunlit garden where the air carries a faint resinous sting.

The heart shifts toward white floral richness as gardenia and orange blossom bloom alongside orris. Pink pepper and coriander introduce a soft spicy texture, while cinnamon leaf and cardamom warm the petals without turning heavy. This stage feels polished and slightly formal, like walking through a manicured courtyard in the middle of the day with a gentle breeze moving through the flowers.

Base notes of amber and ambergris meet patchouli and oak, with cashmeran rounding the drydown into a balsamic, slightly woody finish. The composition stays refined across its arc, but the camphor opening can feel too clinical for those who want a purely romantic floral. That sharp, almost medicinal start is the tradeoff that defines the entire wear.
