Water jasmine and juniper open this composition with a crisp, green lift that feels fresh rather than sharp. The jasmine carries an aquatic edge that keeps the entry light, while the juniper adds a clean, resinous bite. Together they prepare the way for the heart without dominating the early minutes.
Rose sits at the center, supported by violet and black currant. The rose is prominent and slightly powdery, while violet softens the edges and black currant brings a tart, dark fruit tone. Incense weaves through the florals and gives the heart a dry, smoky texture that prevents the flowers from feeling too sweet. In the base, patchouli and vetiver provide an earthy, rooty foundation. Precious woods and amberwood add warmth, and musk smooths the drydown so the heavier elements do not feel rough.
Composed by Bertrand Duchaufour and launched in 2021, this feminine fragrance balances floral and woody elements with a balsamic, aromatic finish. The juniper and incense keep the rose from becoming too traditional. The one drawback is that the water jasmine note can feel thin and synthetic against the richer base materials.
