Our take

The sun sits low over a quiet courtyard where pale stone walls hold the day's warmth. A small bowl of mandarin segments rests on a wooden bench beside a half-read book. Santal lives in this corner. Lemon brightens the air first, sharp and clean, then saffron threads a soft golden line through the citrus. The orange adds a gentle sweetness that keeps the opening from feeling bare.

Cedar rises from the bench grain while sandalwood settles into the air like fine dust. Jasmine floats above the wood, light and white, never loud. The woods feel dry and close, not polished or glossy. A faint metallic shimmer catches the light each time the breeze moves, giving the floral heart a cool edge that sits against the warm timber.

White musk spreads a powdery softness across the entire scene. The air smells woody, citrusy, and faintly spicy all at once, with the powdery accord resting on top of the warmer notes like a thin layer of flour on a kitchen surface.

The mandarin oil still glints on fingertips while the cedar deepens and the jasmine lingers near the wall, the saffron curling through the dry air as the vanilla waits to meet the next breath of wind and the amber continues to
