Our take

Sin & Pleasure opens with a boozy slap of rum and bitter almond, quickly swaddled in vanilla caramel that feels almost sticky sweet. The patchouli and leather step in soon after, grounding the sugar rush with a dirty, resinous warmth, while ylang ylang and white flowers add a faint floral shimmer that never quite escapes the dark. As it dries down, the oud and oakmoss take over, turning the whole affair into something balsamic and woody, like a velvet-lined wooden box that once held spiced sweets and now just smells of old dust and indulgence.

This is a heavy, unapologetically sweet oriental, leaning distinctly niche in its refusal to blend its edges. It fans out like a cloud of burnt caramel and damp earth, sillage modest at best — you’ll need to press your nose to your wrist to catch the subtleties after a few hours. The longevity is decent but not remarkable, which is a shame given the richness of the notes; it promises a decadent night but fades before the last dance.

Suited for cool autumn evenings, winter parties, or a moody solo night with a leather jacket and a glass of dark rum. Skip it if you prefer fresh, airy scents or if moderate projection frustrates you — this one whispers more than it shouts. But for those who savor the tension between saccharine and skank, Sin & Pleasure delivers a cozy, slightly guilty warmth that earns its name.
