Our take

Sparkling Jo opens with a quick burst of cold champagne and sharp bergamot, a bright fizz that feels like the first sip of a Mimosa at an outdoor brunch. The juniper adds a slightly gin-like edge, but this is no cocktail bar. Within minutes, the Williams pear and ginger step in, softening the sparkle into something juicier and faintly powdery, as if someone just peeled a ripe pear over a strand of amber beads. The champaca flower whispers in the background, lending a creamy floral warmth that keeps the whole thing from feeling thin.

The dry down is mostly ambroxan and a clean musk, with a skeletal presence of oak and cedar that never fully fleshes out. This is where the fragrance reveals its fatal flaw: it evaporates like a daydream. The sillage is barely a whisper after an hour, and longevity clocks in at under three hours on skin. For a perfume named Sparkling Jo, it fizzles out far too quickly.

It feels like a half-empty flute of sparkling wine left on a sunny patio after the party has moved inside. Polished and synthetic in that niche way, yes, but also frustratingly ephemeral. This works for someone who wants a light, cheerful spritz for a spring afternoon or a casual lunch date. Skip it if you want your perfume to last through dinner.
