Vivi opens with a lively rush of citrus and herbs that feels like stepping into a cool garden after rain. Bergamot and lemon lead the way, bright and clean, while mint and rosemary add a crisp, green edge that keeps the orange from leaning too sweet. The aromatic top settles quickly into a heart of tuberose and osmanthus that is creamy and slightly fruity, with the tuberose showing its full, heady character against the softer, apricot-like osmanthus. This floral center is not shy or transparent. It carries a gentle weight that suits a quiet street lined with wet trees and a light jacket rather than a hot afternoon.
The base pulls the fragrance into deeper territory with cedar, leather, and oud. The cedar gives a dry, polished woodiness, while the leather adds a smooth, slightly rugged texture that grounds the white flowers above it. Oud brings a resinous, earthy richness that can feel bold against the fresh opening. Composed by Stephanie Bakouche, this is a scent that moves from sparkling green to opulent white floral and finally to dark wood with confidence. The one drawback is the leather and oud combination, which can dominate the delicate osmanthus and make the floral heart difficult to appreciate for anyone who prefers a cleaner drydown.
