Omixochitl - The Bone Flower
Fragrance notes
Character
Omixochitl - The Bone Flower opens with a bright, shimmering lift of jasmine and aldehydes that feels polished and slightly effervescent. White musk immediately grounds the start, keeping the florals from floating away. The heart deepens into a heavy, creamy union of tuberose and ylang-ylang, while heliotrope adds a soft, powdery almond tone that blurs the edges of the white flowers. This is a dense, musky floral that leans into its richer accords early and stays there.
The base is where the composition takes a darker, more textured turn. Castoreum and hyrax introduce a pronounced animalic quality that feels raw and slightly leathery, sitting firmly against the sweetness of amber and the smooth depth of sandalwood. Vetiver adds a dry, earthy contrast, and lily-of-the-valley provides a faint green lift that cuts through the heavier materials. The overall impression is smoky, powdery, and undeniably bold, with a vanilla softness that never fully tames the scent's wild edges. It suits a warm evening sidewalk lit by streetlamps, a heavy wool coat in crisp air, or a sunlit room with the windows open to a cool breeze. The finish is a lingering blend of amber and almond.
