Lofty by MAIOS opens with a sharp, slightly synthetic citrus bite that feels a bit thin at first. The mandarin orange and bergamot arrive quickly, but the initial spray lacks the roundness that usually makes a citrus opening feel inviting. It takes a moment for the violet to step forward and soften the edges.
In a sunlit garden during a late morning coffee, the air carries the cool green snap of lily-of-the-valley and carnation. The violet sits at the center of the scent, powdery and gentle, while the mandarin continues to flicker through the flowers like light on leaves. Sandalwood and vetiver ground the scene with a clean, earthy warmth that keeps the petals from floating away.
The whole moment smells like a white linen tablecloth spread over damp grass, with a bowl of citrus fruit placed in the center and a handful of crushed green stems scattered across the fabric.
