Citrus Blossom
Fragrance notes
Character
Citrus Blossom by Sabon leans heavily on its sweet side, and that is where it may lose some wearers. The vanilla and musk in the base sit thick, turning what starts as a bright morning into a dense, sugary cloud. If you usually prefer airy citrus that stays sharp and clean, this blend will feel too heavy for your taste.
Bergamot and mandarin orange lead the way with a juicy, realistic peel impression. Petitgrain adds a faint green edge that keeps the opening from becoming pure candy. The transition moves quickly into orange blossom and jasmine, where the white floral accord takes over and pushes the fruit into the background.
Patchouli here is smooth and polished, lacking the rough earthiness found in darker chypres. It supports the vanilla rather than fighting it, creating a powdery, woody texture that feels more suited to a boutique shelf than a wild garden. The aromatic and fresh spicy accords give it just enough lift to avoid feeling flat.
The overall effect is like walking past a patisserie where the baker has left a window open next to a vase of fresh jasmine.
