Our take

Contém 1g’s 95 is a strange, slightly messy collision of bright fruit and heavy wood that never quite settles into a single identity. It opens with a loud, juicy hit of red apple and plum, bolstered by a sharp citrus tang that feels more energetic than elegant. That sunny, slightly synthetic fruitiness is short-lived, however, as the fragrance quickly pivots towards its dominant, powdery heart. The cinnamon and carnation emerge not with a subtle spice, but with an old-school, almost dusty floral weight, like an inherited velvet curtain. This isn't a fresh, modern fougère; it’s a heavy, aromatic blend where the Brazilian rosewood adds a dry, slightly medicinal edge to the sweetness. The transition from the candied top notes to the powdery, spicy mid feels abrupt, creating a disjointed wear where the cheerful fruit and the serious, woody base seem to be fighting for attention rather than blending seamlessly.

As it dries down, the sandalwood and cedar provide a sturdy, dry foundation, but the vanilla here is muted, struggling to bridge the gap between the crisp woods and the earlier fruit. The result is a fragrance that feels conceptually torn between a playful, juicy daytime scent and a somber, powdery evening classic, ultimately satisfying neither urge completely. It’s a bold, nostalgic composition that wears its 1990s heritage proudly, complete with a slightly rough, unpolished texture that can feel abrasive on the skin. The main drawback is this very lack of cohesion: the fruity opening and the spicy, woody dry down feel like two different perfumes awkwardly stitched together.
