Adalusite
Fragrance notes
Character
Adalusite opens with passionfruit and saffron. The fruit is bright and tart, while the saffron brings a dry, metallic edge that keeps the start from feeling like a simple candy. This combination moves quickly into a heart of jasmine, Turkish rose, cinnamon, and honey. The honey is thick and golden, wrapping around the flowers and the spice so that the middle feels warm and heavy rather than light or dewy.
The base is a dense mix of cedar, frankincense, oud, vanilla, leather, labdanum, and amber. The oud and leather give it a dark, resinous weight, while the vanilla and amber smooth the edges without making it overly sugary. Frankincense adds a clean, slightly smoky lift that stops the sweetness from becoming flat. Throughout the wear, the fruity top and the spicy heart remain present under the heavy woods.
The air feels cool enough that a warm, resinous skin scent makes sense, but not so cold that the tropical fruit reads as out of place. Someone who enjoys honeyed florals anchored by dark woods and leather will find a lot to like here. It fits a day when the weather calls for something substantial but still allows a bright opening to show through.
