Our take

Baloudh opens in a pine forest where dark berries have fallen into the needles. Blackberry and blueberry bleed their juice across the sharp green of spruce and the bright lift of Calabrian bergamot. Cherry adds a flash of red color before the ground shifts beneath you. The heart drops into dense smoke as oud and incense rise with cypress and birch tar. Tuscan iris and Bulgarian rose bring a powdered floral weight that tries to soften the edges, while tuberose adds a creamy thickness that feels deliberate rather than decorative. This is not a bright walk in the woods. It is standing near a bonfire after the sun has gone, when the air is cold enough that the heat from the smoke feels welcome on your coat.

The base pulls the entire composition toward a warm, resinous chest. Leather and labdanum sit beside opoponax and amber, with hay and sandalwood rounding out the drydown. Vanilla and patchouli add a sweet earthiness that keeps the smoke from turning harsh, while musk settles everything into a soft skin finish. The mix feels rich and slightly untamed, suited to someone who wants a fragrance with weight and presence rather than something sheer and easy. It can feel heavy to those who prefer airy citrus or clean laundry scents, and the resin can overwhelm if you are looking for something subtle. This is a thick, balsamic blend built around amber.
