A heavy iron door swings open and heat rolls out into the cold air. Inside the stone chapel, rows of benches face a central pit where resin has been burning for hours. Encens Pyro sits in this space. The opening carries a bright bergamot peel that cuts through the thick air, but it is immediately overtaken by the scent of fire itself, a dry heat that smells of charred wood and rising soot. Frankincense coils through the room, its dusty weight mixing with the unexpected gloss of honey that sticks to the back of the throat. Iris adds a soft, powdery root texture to the smoke, while cedar planks underfoot give the air a dry, structural sharpness.
Jasmine floats high above the heavier materials, a fleeting floral whisper that feels out of place yet right among the animalic warmth. As the atmosphere thickens, leather appears, smelling of old tack and worn grain, wrapped tightly around a patchouli that is dark and damp with earth. Sandalwood smooths the edges of the sharper spices, allowing vanilla and musk to settle into the corners like dust. The scent is a study in contrasts, where the clean brightness of citrus fights a losing battle against the heavy, amber-laden shadows of the base, leaving a trail of smoky, woody air that clings to the fabric of a wool coat
