Our take

Sunlight falls across a terrace table where a glass of cold tea sits next to a bowl of mandarin slices. Neroli and lemon brighten the air first, joined quickly by yuzu that adds a clean, tart edge. The citrus stays light and transparent, never heavy, and it lets the space around it breathe. Pitosporum and ylang-ylang arrive soon after, softening the opening with a green, slightly creamy petal texture. Tuberose rises through the center of the scene, full and rounded, while jasmine weaves through it with a sweet, slightly indolic warmth. The flowers do not crowd the air, but they stay near enough that someone sitting across from you catches them when they lean in.

Patchouli gives the petals a damp, earthy stem, and amber adds a gentle golden weight that settles into the moment. Musk smooths the edges so the transition from bright fruit to dense bloom feels natural rather than sudden. The scent remains close, moving with you as you reach for the glass, then fades slightly as you step back. It does not extend far beyond your immediate space, and it does not demand the whole terrace. The citrus keeps the flowers from feeling too lush, and the greenery stops the amber from turning thick.

You notice the petals again when a breeze passes, the tuberose clearer for a second before it blends back into the green stem and soft musk. The mandarin lingers faintly at the edges, a last bright trace beside the damp patchouli and warm amber, the whole scene held in that small, sunlit space while the air continues to shift
