Our take

Cold air moves through a narrow stone courtyard where potted citrus trees line a shaded wall. Someone stands near the iron gate with sleeves rolled past the wrist, and the air around them carries bright bergamot and mandarin orange that feel clean against the morning chill. Neroli adds a soft floral lift that keeps the opening from feeling sharp. Petitgrain enters soon after, green and slightly bitter, while basil brings a kitchen-fresh edge that grounds the brightness. Cardamom warms the middle just enough to remind you that the day has not fully warmed yet.

Patchouli sits low in the background, earthy and dry, supported by musk that rounds the edges without making the air heavy. Tea leaves a faint, steeped impression that reads more like dried leaves on a stone path than a hot cup. The herbal accord keeps the composition from leaning sweet, and the woody facet gives the scene a quiet structure. It feels composed by Mark Buxton with a clear hand, each note placed so that nothing dominates for long. The overall impression is aromatic and grounded, never loud, never cloying.

This is a fragrance for a man who prefers a crisp, herbal citrus over anything sugary or loud. Wear it when you walk through a cool garden before the sun has fully settled, or when you want a clean, green presence during a quiet afternoon outdoors.
