Our take

The citron and mandarin orange open with a bright, sunlit energy that feels like standing in a Mediterranean courtyard. Pepper and bergamot add a sharp, clean edge to the initial spray. The citrus elements do not vanish quickly, but they remain near the skin as the heart begins to show.

Rose and orange blossom bring a soft, dewy quality that pairs with the green, slightly milky scent of fig leaf. Violet rests underneath, giving the white florals a powdery, vintage touch. Jasmine adds weight, though the flowers stay close enough that only someone nearby catches the full bouquet.

Vetiver and patchouli anchor the blend with an earthy, woody dryness that keeps the vanilla from becoming too sweet. Sandalwood smooths the transition, allowing the base to linger on fabric and skin through a long afternoon. The scent stays present without ever expanding beyond a personal space.

Caroline de Boutiny composed a fragrance that wears like a linen shirt left to dry in the shade of an old stone wall.
